I have joined the team at Camera Odysseys to help you bring your photography or just your seeing to the next level. I will bring my years of seeing to the streets of Havana, Vinales and Trinidad. Together with the guidance and experience of Bruce Byers, head photographer and founder of Camera Odysseys we will take you off the beaten path so you can experience Cuba like a local.
Bruce has 10 years and over 20 trips in Cuba. Some say it’s his second home. This trip will engage you into the local lives of the Cuban people, most of the Bruce’s friends. Sign up now as the trip is filling fast. We look forward to walking the street of Cuba with you.
Travel like a Journalist, Live like, Shoot like Professional
A century and a half ago photographers would spend years preparing expeditions to our remote destinations. We at Camera Odysseys are pleased to be able to visit them at will. That’s particularly exciting because, even though the trips are easier, our destinations are still much the same as they were when legendary pioneers of travel photography like Francis Firth, Samuel Bourne, Linnaeus Tripe and William Young visited them.
The current work ( After Hours - Beauty Amidst The Dark ) of photographer Marco Franchina explores his endless fascination with shape and form. His dark, moody imagery of deserted places and spaces has a hyper-realistic look and the feeling of extreme solitude. These prints, in high contrast black and white, or with a judicious use of color, showcase his concern with documenting architectural elements; whether in the loneliness of a landscape, the sharp angles of a building or the sensuous curves of an automobile. Franchina continues to find the unfolding.
- is a collection of color and black & white photos consisting of Portraits, Landscapes and Still life. My focus and drive in creating this body of work is an attempt at examining Small Towns and the subject’s connected to their surroundings.
