His dark, moody imagery of deserted places and spaces has a hyper-realistic look and the feeling of extreme solitude. These prints, in high contrast black and white, or with a judicious use of color, showcase his concern with documenting architectural elements; whether in the loneliness of a landscape, the sharp angles of a building or the sensuous curves of an automobile. Franchina continues to find the unfolding.
- is a collection of color and black & white photos consisting of Portraits, Landscapes and Still life. My focus and drive in creating this body of work is an attempt at examining Small Towns and the subject’s connected to their surroundings.
